Colleges and universities use these exam scores to make admission decisions and to provide financial support, and scholarships. Along with these technical skills, candidates also need to make an efficient time management in the test. Remember that most students fail to get good scores due to time pressure and negative marking in the test.

SAT 1
The SAT test is a general test that examines the critical and analytic abilities of the test taker. The test is majorly taken by high school students for their undergraduate placement in the colleges and universities of USA, India, Malaysia and many more countries. The SAT is a paper based tests with its centre all over the world. The test is mainly divided to three sections: Critical Reading, Writing and Math. The score for each section range from 200 to 800 giving a full score of 2400 for the whole SAT.
The SAT is being revised continuously and a new SAT test, the Redesigned SAT is being launched in spring 2014. The Redesigned SAT is thought to be easier than the SAT in a sense that penalties for wrong answers will be omitted and that the relevant words in context will be used.
SAT Subject Test
Some universities and colleges require the undergraduate applicant to take two or three Subject Tests. The SAT Subject Tests are the opportunities for candidates to showcase the strength and excellence in specific subject areas. Each SAT subject test is an hour long with a score of 200 to 800. The SAT Subject Test gives a strong message to colleges regarding applicant’s academic background and interests. Some colleges also use the Subject Tests to place students into the appropriate courses.
