The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally recognized direct English Language assessment for study, work and migration to English native countries. IELTS assesses all the fours skills required for proficiency of a language — reading, writing, listening and speaking. IT is designed to reflect real life use of English at study, at work, and at play. IELTS is accepted by most in Australia, Britain, Canada and New Zealand’s academic institutions. IELTS is accepted by many professional organizations including the New Zealand. Some universities in U.S.A also accept IELTS.
IELFS are tested in four equally weighted modules: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The IELTS results are reported on the nine band scale. Different institutions accept different IELTS scores for different types of courses but most colleges and universities accept a score of 6.5 for academic programmes. The test reports have a validity of two years.
